#15 · PAR THREE
(Stoke 6) Welcome to 15, affectionately known as the "Postage Stamp" hole - a signature Par 3 that offers players the chance for that elusive hole-in-one, and a double-bogey!
#15 · PAR 3 · STOKE 6
Before you lies a picturesque scene, with a large water feature stretching out in front of the green, complete with a water fountain and a resident population of geese (the white one can be grumpy, be warned). Look to the towering trees on the left to get an idea of what the wind is up to. Like luck, it could be with you or against you.
Tee Box
But don't let the view fool you—Hole 15 presents its fair share of challenges. The green is heavily cambered from back to front, sloping sharply towards the right side and the water in front. Hot the perfect distance with too much spin and you’ll roll off the green into the water. Go right and you’ll have a bunker and a sloping rough to deal with. Go left and another bunker awaits. Go long and you’ll find a flower bed, or a downhill chip at best.
Approach
If you do find the green from the box, two-putting for par is a challenge. The slope of the green and the pin position often demand superb pace control. The trick is to be closest to the hole so your playing partners can you give you an idea of what mischief awaits you. Suffice to say, making a par from anywhere off the green is a proper result.
