#12 · PAR FOUR
(Stoke 16) This shorter dogleg left is tighter than it appears, meaning even a conservative 3w can get you into trouble.
#12 · PAR 4 · STOKE 16
Crossing the road brings its own challenges (in these parts motorists consider stopping at a Pedestrian Crossing to be optional…) Nonetheless, once you navigate Glen Eagles Rd and the rather handsome bridge, you’ll be greeted by one of the nicest views at PV: the 15th green, framed by a small lake and the 14th green in the background. These are what await you, for now you must deal with a very pretty little Par 4 with a generous stroke index of 16.
Tee Box
Hole 12 offers a wide fairway beyond a collection of hazards in the foreground: the various Parkview Sluits converge ahead, surrounded by a collection of trees that have an uncanny ability to stretch out a branch and send an otherwise solid tee shot off track!
Approach
The fairway gives you a good view of this raised green. Aiming for middle is best, but not surprisingly the flag is very seldom in the middle. This reality brings an unfriendly bunker into play; deep and littered with expletives, it guards the front left and out-of-bounds lurks just behind the green. Did we mention distance control?
