#11 · PAR 4 · STOKE 10
Hole 11 starts a run of 4 ‘easier’ holes, all with double-digit strokes. It’s time to make hay. With a stroke index of 10, this dogleg left is about not being greedy. A straight middle iron from the tee box will give you a generous fairway lie and a straightforward approach to the green.
Tee Box
A draw brings the Sluit flanked by a line of Willows and rough at their feet into play. Too strong off the tee, or even a gentle fade will land you in the scattered trees on the right side of the fairway. Both lies will most likely prevent you from aiming straight for the green with your second. The green looks benign enough, but wait. There is danger on all sides.
Approach
Go a little left and the large bunker between the Sluit and the green is the best outcome. Go long and you’ll find deep sloping rough or the road beyond. Go right and there are two bunkers waiting. What this hole lacks in distance it makes up for in demanding an accurate approach. Half a club short or long, a few meters left or right and the Bridei Putt you were visualising will transform into a scramble for a bogey.
Green
It wouldn't be Parkview if navigating the green was a formality. A pronoucned ridge runs diagonally across the sloping green, making any putt over 10 feet a real challenge of pace and line. Again, it wouldn’t be Parkview if the flag position didn’t always conspire with the above to make a Par a solid result.
Water Hazard
Perhaps the most formidable and striking feature of this hole is the waterway that runs the length of the entire hole on the left.
