Hole by hole details

This guide delves into the specifics of each hole, offering insights and strategies to help golfers navigate the course successfully and enjoy their round to the fullest.

1

PAR FIVE

Starting hole with a dog right, guarded by two bunkers on the fairway and green...

Stroke 17
2

PAR FOUR

You’ll notice that the green has no bunkers, the only hole with no sand at Parkview.

Stroke 3
3

PAR THREE

Playing 170 meters from yellow or as little as 110 from the red tees, this Par 3 should not be taken for granted.

Stroke 11
4

PAR FOUR

You’re now at the southern end of the course with gorgeous views of Westcliff and Emmerentia Ridge framing this tough dogleg left.

Stroke 1
5

PAR THREE

At Stroke 13 Elsie's Way may seem like a generous mid-length Par 3, but the green is guarded by four imposing bunkers.

Stroke 13
6

PAR FOUR

Stroke index of 15 and a combination of fairway bunkers and unseen slopes, the 6th is a short Par 4 that can be as generous as it is unkind.

Stroke 15
7

PAR FOUR

7th hole used to be a Par 5, to be honest, despite now being a Par 4, that extra shot is often required to get it done.

Stroke 7
8

PAR FOUR

Welcome to Hole 8, the final challenge on this configuration of the course. Halfway awaits you on the other side of tunnel.

Stroke 5
9

PAR FOUR

Hole 9, a deceptively challenging Par 4 that has earned its reputation as one of the toughest tests on the course.

Stroke 9
10

PAR FOUR

With a stroke index of 2, the 10th presents another opportunity to donate a ball to the Sluit on your left or to Emerentia Road.

Stroke 2
11

PAR FOUR

It’s time to make hay. With a stroke index of 10, this dogleg left is about not being greedy but safe.

Stroke 10
12

PAR FOUR

This shorter dogleg left is tighter than it appears, meaning even a conservative 3w can get you into trouble.

Stroke 16
13

PAR FIVE

With such a big, sloping green, finding the hole with 2 putts is not easy, and thus the 13th delivers Birdies and Bogeys with equal measure.

Stroke 12
14

PAR FIVE

On a favorable downwind day, longer hitters may find themselves with the opportunity for a mid to low iron approach...

Stroke 18
15

PAR THREE

Hole 15, affectionately known as the "Postage Stamp" hole—a signature Par 3 that offers players the chance for that elusive hole-in-one, and a double-bogey!

Stroke 6
16

PAR FOUR

The view from the tee box shouts Driver, but the stats say otherwise. Many a professional has succumbed...

Stroke 14
17

PAR FOUR

By far the best strategy for this round-breaker is to ignore the flag and aim for the middle of the sloped green.

Stroke 4
18

PAR FOUR

Like so many holes at Parkview, distance is vanity. A low iron or a rescue is the smart choice.
